Interesting, but millions of science-[redacted] Americans are more interested in how many such lion cages were required on Noah's Ark?

Mr. Mprgan, I am [skeptical] that today's generation even considers Noah's ark, but would rather draw a reference to the Tiger King

Perhaps I’m over optimistic, but I like to think that Animal Planet has helped people (especially children) better appreciate the value of wildlife and conservation, and I like to hope that the more someone is exposed to the scientific evidence relating to the evolutionary relatedness of animals it will help a lightbulb to go off over the reader’s head that the mechanism of “descent with modification” has sufficient explanatory power that they should consider and accept it.

V interesting paper. When we talk about inventive step in the UK we sometimes mention "lions in the path."
