The John Marshall Law School Center for Intellectual Property, Information & Privacy Law will be hosting Russell Cass of Clark Hill PLC, who will be presenting a CLE course entitled "Patent Post-Grant Practice" from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on February 17, 2018 and March 3, 2018 at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. The course will review the purpose and history of post-grant proceedings (i.e., Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs), Post-Grant Review (PGRs), and Covered Business Method Proceedings (CBMs)), the statutory framework, and how these proceedings fit into the overall patent landscape. The course will then cover the various phases of the proceedings, including the petition, response and reply, discovery, evidentiary issues, use of experts, oral hearing, and appeal to the Federal Circuit. The interplay between PTAB contested proceedings and district court litigation will also be explored.
Tuition for the course is $1,565. Those interested in registering for the conference can do so here.
