Patents and Trademarks that grant full legal protection to crap that gets mass-produced in China, will be the death of American Manufacturing.
We need new laws that will limit patent and/or trademark protection on inventions and intellectual property, whose owners never had any intention of manufacturing those goods in the United States.
It would obviously be unconstitutional and damaging for international trade, to prohibit people from manufacturing a product wherever they please; however there is no reason the the United States of America should continue to grant full patent / trademark protection if it is contrary to the interests of this country, it's people, and it's economy.
Take a look at this proposed Legislation for Patent / Trademark reform, that will encourage the return of manufacturing in America.
