The Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA) will be offering a webcast entitled "Two Years of Federal Circuit Review of PTAB Proceedings: What We Know and Still Don't Know" on February 7, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm (EST) at the FCBA Conference Room in Washington, DC. Christopher A. Suarez of Williams & Connolly LLP will moderate a panel consisting of Justin Krieger of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP; Derek McCorquindale of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP; and Rachel Elsby of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. The panel will provide an overview of the Federal Circuit's decisions in IPR appeals to date, provide statistics as well as a detailed discussion of various topics, including developments in claim construction, motions to amend practice, and the Federal Circuit's deferential posture toward the PTAB, and discuss issues that have not yet been resolved or will be resolved en banc, including the issues raised by the Wi-Fi One and In re Aqua Products cases.
