Practising Law Institute (PLI) will be offering a one-hour webcast entitled "Obviousness, the CAFC, and Second Generation Filing Strategies" on April 1, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm (Eastern). Brian C. Trinque, Ph.D. of Lathrop & Gage LLP will provide a summary of the most recent Federal Circuit cases pertaining to "second generation" patents, which are directed toward discoveries involving previously-known pharmaceuticals, such as pharmaceutical formulations, dosing strategies, and combination therapies. The webcast will include:

• Practice tips for effectively preparing pharmaceutical patent applications for filing in the U.S. and abroad; and
