The American Bar Association (ABA) Center for Professional Development and Section of Intellectual Property Law will be offering a live webinar entitled "Charting New Territory: Prosecution and Diligence Strategies in the Wake of the AIA" on September 25, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm (ET). Nicholas Mattingly of Mattingly & Malur, PC will moderate a panel consisting of Alexander Franco, Cory Clifford Bell, and Jameson Quinn-Houng Ma. The panel will discuss the following topics:
• Transitioning U.S. patent laws from a first-to-invent regime to a first-inventor-to-file regime;
• How the changes to Section 102 have affected the scope of prior art available against patent applications; and
• The effect these changes have on proceedings at the USPTO, and on opinion and due diligence practice.
