The American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Intellectual Property Law, Section of Science and Technology Law, and Center for Professional Development will be offering a live webinar and teleconference entitled "The Written Description Requirement: Are Antibodies Chemicals, Proteins, or Exceptions?" on August 30, 2012 from 1:00 - 2:30 pm (Eastern). Selena Kim of Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP will moderate a panel including Amy Hamilton, Vice President and Deputy General Patent Counsel for Eli Lilly and Company; Christopher Holman, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law; Oskar Liivak, Associate Professor of Law at Cornell University Law School; and Kristi L.R. Sawert, Associate Solicitor, Office of the Solicitor of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The panel will demonstrate a range of views on the written description requirement for antibodies.
