Infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,977,253 ("Methods for the Treatment of Bipolar Disorder Using Carbamazepine," issued December 20, 2005) following a paragraph IV certification as part of Actavis' filing of an ANDA to manufacture a generic version of Validus' Equetro® (carbamazepine extended-release capsules, used for the treatment of acute manic to mixed episodes associated with Bipolar I disorder).
