Biosimilars CLE

IPO #1 The Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) will offer a one-hour webinar entitled: "Bio-Similars: The New Litigation Landscape" on Thursday, April 22, 2010 beginning at 2:00 PM (EST).  The IPO webinar will provide an overview of the healthcare reform measure that creates a regulatory pathway for generic versions of large-molecule biotech drugs, which bears some resemblance to the longstanding Hatch-Waxman regime that sets out how generic drug companies can challenge patents held by pharmaceutical companies on small-molecule medicines.  The webinar will also examine the differences between the two schemes, which are profound and will prove to be of great importance in the years ahead.  The speakers include Stuart Watt of Amgen Inc. and F. Dominic Cerrito of Jones Day.  The registration fee for the webinar is $100.  Those interested in registering for the webinar, can do so here.
